LANSING, Mich – Lansing Common FC will wrap up its 2026 season this Saturday, July 18, when they host Holland Rovers at Eastern Stadium.
Earlier this season, Lansing Common traveled to Saugatuck and defeated the Rovers 3-1.
Several reserve players were in the lineup that night due to a number of regular starters being unavailable. Head coach Brent Sorg was also absent for the away game against Rovers so assistant coach Todd Derby stepped in to lead the team.
Despite some difficult results over the last three games, Lansing Common is focused on ending this season on a positive note.
“Finish with pride, play the right way, and let’s go out and enjoy it,” head coach Brent Sorg said.
Before the team’s last match, Sorg wrote “Get back to the way Lansing Common plays” on the locker room whiteboard. That message remains the focus heading into the season finale, as he hopes the team can finish with a win and build momentum heading into the offseason.
During practice this week, the players balanced preparations for their final game while also enjoying one last week together as a team.
“I think our final game is going to be a challenging one, but we are hoping to finish on a strong note,” assistant coach Todd Derby said.
Lansing Common will host Holland Rovers FC on Saturday, July 18th at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are just $5 online or $7 at the gate.
