LANSING, Mich. — Lansing Common FC returns to Midwest Premier League play when they travel to Holland, Michigan, to take on Tulip City United SC on Friday, June 27 at 7 p.m.

LCFC is coming off a win after taking down Livonia City FC on June 21 in a friendly match. Lansing topped Livonia 3-1 with midfielder Zach Holden completing a hat trick for all three of the Robins’ goals.

“He puts himself in the right position,” Sorg said of Holden against Livonia. “It was good to see and a credit to his work ethic.”

LCFC and Tulip City met previously this season on May 17 at Eastern Stadium. Midfielders Roarke Watterson and Jack Heald punched in goals for the Robins, leading them to a 2-0 victory over Tulip City.

Going into the reverse fixture against Tulip City this season, LCFC head coach Brent Sorg wants his team to maintain a focused mindset, despite their undefeated record.

“It’s going to be important for us to stay focused on the process of what we’re trying to accomplish and not get too results-oriented,” Sorg said.

Tulip City recently fell to Goshen City FC on June 21, 3-1. Defender Russell Ebbert scored the lone goal for Tulip City.

Lansing Common and Tulip City will go head to head on Friday, June 27 at 7 p.m. at Holland High School’s Soccer Stadium.

LCFC will return to Eastern Stadium on Sunday, June 29 at 4 p.m. to face Goshen City FC on Pride Night. Tickets are just $5 online or $7 at the gate.
