Nathan Clarke will join Lansing Common FC as an assistant coach this year. He joins Head Coach Brent Sorg’s staff for the 2023 Midwest Premier League season as Lansing Common battles for its first league title after consecutive second-place finishes.

Clarke, who lives in Lansing, coaches for Michigan Jaguars FC and the Olympic Development Program in addition to having coached as part of the Tottenham Hotspur youth system in England.

“I have lived in Lansing since 2014 and love the community, I am really excited to give back to the place that I now call home,” said Clarke. “I have worked with Brent previously and I love his coaching style. I can’t wait to see how far we can take this team. I can guarantee players and fans that I will be bringing 100% to this role alongside my passion and knowledge of the game.”

Head Coach Brent Sorg had this to say about adding Clarke to the team: “Nathan is trusted and respected in the coaching ranks. Here at Lansing Common, we are thrilled to have such a high-caliber coach joining our team. I know each and every day he will bring his best for the club and community.”

Lansing Common kicks off its 2023 Midwest Premier League season in May, with home games at Lansing Eastern Stadium. A full schedule will be announced later this spring, and fans can purchase their 2023 membership at lansingcommonfc.com
