LANSING, Mich – Lansing Common FC are undefeated in conference play (3-0-1), following a 4-1 victory over Tulip City United last Saturday.
The Robins sit atop the Midwest Premier League’s Great Lakes West Division with 10 points as they continue their hunt for an elusive division title.
In the game against Tulip City, forward Xtreme Hauk scored for his third-consecutive game and put in two of LCFC’s four goals on the night.
“I think he [Xtreme] has made a complete 180 from where he was last year,” Lansing head coach Brent Sorg said. “He’s clean on the ball, he finds the right pockets of space, and goal-scorers score goals- that’s what they do; and that’s what Xtreme is doing, and it’s a good thing for us.”

Midfielder Jack Heald had the second goal of the game off an assist from forward Jayson Janofski, who put the nail in the coffin for the Robins with a penalty kick goal in the 79th minute of play.
Sorg emphasized the importance of total team soccer after Lansing’s 4-1 win over 1927SC in Fort Wayne on June 3. That mantra held up against Tulip City with a collective team victory that saw multiple goal-scorers and a near-shutout performance from goalkeeper Jackson Kiszka.
The Robins take their undefeated record to Grand Rapids this Friday, June 12, where they face off against Grand Rapids SC at 6:00 p.m.
“We have to not get complacent. Not let our guard down like last year. We had a chance to make the conference championship game, and we dropped a game at Grand Rapids last year- we didn’t finish the job,” Sorg said. “But that’s in the past. I think we have enough senior guys that are going to help lead us. They’ve been through it enough. They’re tired of finishing second.”
LCFC will have a short turnaround after Friday’s game. The Robins will return to Eastern Stadium to host Livonia City FC in a friendly matchup of the I-96 Derby on Sunday, June 14, at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are just $5 online or $7 at the gate.
