Lansing Common FC hosted Troy United in an exhibition match on Monday, May 20 before over 1,400 Lansing students, teachers, and parents. “Match Day on a School Day” came together through a partnership between Lansing Common and the Lansing School District to provide a field trip to the game for Lansing 4th and 5th grade classes.
Members of The Branch, the Lansing Common supporters group, joined the event to teach students chants they use to support the Robins and get the kids involved in supporting the home team.
While Troy United took the win on the field, the day was a success for all involved, giving Lansing students the chance to enjoy a soccer game and support their local club.
