LANSING, Mich – Lansing Common FC’s coaching staff has recognized three standout players for the club’s 2026 awards for Outstanding Player, Toughest Robin, and The 517 Award.
Although the season ended with LCFC in third place in the Midwest Premier League’s Great Lakes West Division, the Robins finished on a high note with a 4-1 home victory over Holland Rovers and a final league record of 6-2-2.
In his third season with the Robins, forward and East Lansing native Xtreme Hauk has won the Outstanding Player Award.
“Xtreme is a prolific goal scorer and a constant threat to opponents whenever he has the ball. His movement, ability to find space, and attacking instincts make him a dangerous and dynamic player,” said Head Coach Brent Sorg.
Hauk finished the season tied as the division’s top goal scorer with six league goals and an additional two scored during friendlies.
Hauk is no stranger to postseason awards. He received MIAA Freshman of the Year, All-MIAA First Team, and All-Region honors in 2024 while at Calvin University. Hauk also scored in the championship match that took the Knights to the Division III NCAA tournament that year.
The 2026 Toughest Robin Award was given to midfielder, and third-year star, Jack Heald. It was Heald’s second-straight year receiving the honor.
“Jack is a true warrior. He has been a steady and trusted presence in our midfield for the past three seasons. His soccer savvy, toughness, and commitment are second to none,” said Sorg.
Displaying 110% on the field with grit, toughness and a great work ethic, Heald finished tied for second-most goals on the team with five total, four scored during league play.
Hailing from Mansfield, England, Heald’s father Scott traveled across the pond and witnessed his son score a goal for LCFC in a 4-1 win against Tulip City United on June 6 at Eastern Stadium.
Heald was named First Team All-WHAC after recording six goals and nine assists for Cleary University in 2025. Fellow Cleary players Josh Angel-Craven, Jed Blough and Archie Tyers joined Heald in Lansing for Common’s 2026 season.
Goalkeeper Jackson Kiszka, in his second year with the Robins, was named The 517 Award winner for 2026.
“Jackson is the ideal Lansing Common player. He understands the commitment it takes to be part of this club, while also embracing and executing his role within the team. When the opportunity presented itself, he rose to the occasion and performed well,” said Sorg.
The 517 Award is given each year to the player that best represents Lansing Common on and off the field. Kiszka, who plays collegiately for St. Norbert College in Wisconsin, was named Second-Team All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in 2025 after finishing that season with a save percentage of .803 and recording a career-high 14 saves in a single game.
Kiszka recorded his first clean sheet with LCFC in a 3-0 road win against Grand Rapids SC on June 12. He showed his dedication by driving over an hour each way for training sessions and games and becoming highly-involved in the club’s community events and youth clinics.
